Gulf Coast
National Organization for Women

“Working to establish equality and justice in our society,

starting in our own backyard.”

August 22-23, 2009

Gulf Coast NOW’s first membership and donation drive was a success!  Several men, women, and young adults stopped the table to converse and become educated about NOW’s priority issues.

The National Organization for Women (NOW) is the largest organization of feminist activists in the United States. NOW has 500,000 contributing members and 550 chapters in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Since its founding in 1966, NOW's goal has been to take action to bring about equality for all women. NOW has six priority issues:

· Advance Reproductive Freedom

· Promote Diversity & End Racism

· Stop Violence Against Women

· Win Lesbian Rights

· Achieve Constitutional Equality

· Ensure Economic Justice
